1Account Approval & Store Rules
Kabale Online Marketplace maintains a high standard for our customers. To sell on this platform, you must meet the following criteria:
- You must have a physical shop, registered business, or verifiable inventory located within Kabale.
- Your products must be accurately described and photographed. Using misleading images is strictly prohibited.
- You must keep your digital inventory updated. If a customer orders an item that is out of stock, your store rating will be penalized.
2Commission & Associated Fees
Creating a store and listing your products is completely free. We only make money when you make a sale.
- A standard commission percentage is deducted from the final sale price of each item.
- Payouts to vendors are processed securely via Mobile Money or Bank Transfer after the return period has expired.
3Delivery & Transportation Fees
Important: Deliveries Outside Kabale Town
For orders placed outside of Kabale Municipality (within the broader Kigezi region), the customer must pay the transportation fee upfront before the item is dispatched. This ensures our logistics partners and vendors do not incur losses on long-distance unfulfilled orders.
- Within Kabale Town: Orders are eligible for our express 60-minute delivery. Sellers must have the item packaged and ready for the dispatch rider within 15 minutes of receiving the order notification.
- Outside Kabale: Dispatch will only occur once the transport fee is confirmed by the admin team.
4Cash on Delivery (COD) Policy
To build trust with our buyers, Kabale Online offers a Cash on Delivery (COD) option for local orders.
- The buyer will inspect the item upon arrival and pay the dispatch rider via cash or Mobile Money.
- If the item is defective, the wrong size, or does not match the description, the buyer has the right to reject it. In this scenario, the seller is responsible for the failed delivery cost.
- Ensure your items are in perfect condition before handing them to the delivery rider to avoid COD rejections.
